As the end of the season is quickly approaching, some transfer rumors are beginning to materialize for who Arsenal may bring in for Mikel Arteta. It's reported that Arsenal intends to have a "big" summer transfer window, so who may they bring into the Emirates next season?

1. Ruben Neves

First reported by Sky Sports, the Wolves and Portugal international player is again linked to a possible move to Arsenal. The central midfielder was linked heavily to the Gunners earlier this season and during the January transfer window on a potential move, but the value has remained unchanged. Wolves still evaluate him between £50m - £60m, with Arsenal remaining reluctant to pay that high of a fee. "I don't know if it's Man Utd or other teams, what I know is we have a special player here with us…when you have a top player like him in that specific position, that can defend and attack, and is a top professional and a great man, the big teams are there with £100m to buy these kinds of players," Wolves Manager Bruno Lage said in last week's press conference. While that's Lage's evaluation, it should be a player to keep an eye on as an Arsenal fan since the expected central midfielders heading into the summer transfer window will be Albert Sambi Lokonga, Thomas Partey, Martin Ødegaard, Emile Smith Rowe, and Granit Xhaka.

2. Álvaro Morata

The Morata links are fairly consistent for every transfer window when it comes to a move to Arsenal. Both Sun Sport and Sportmediaset reported that Arsenal is looking to submit a £25m offer to Athletico Madrid. It's still unclear whether or not Juventus will submit a bid for Morata, but reports suggest that Juventus will move on from him after this loan spell. As for Arsenal, both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah will be out of a contract in the summer, which leaves no senior-level strikers besides Folarin Balogun, who started against Brentford at the beginning of the season. Therefore, Arsenal could be looking to sign multiple strikers in the summer transfer window, and Morata may be one of those options if the price suits Arsenal and if he fits into Arteta's plans. However, Morata is typically linked to Arsenal every transfer window, just as Houssem Aouar and Philippe Coutinho are in recent windows, so it's unknown whether this move will materialize.

3. Eden Hazard

A report from Daily Mail suggests that Arsenal is inquiring about a possible loan move for the Belgian international from Real Madrid. Hazard has struggled ever since his move to the Bernabéu, but this seems like an odd move for Arsenal. Under Arteta, Arsenal has very rarely made a move for an aging veteran on a massive wage bill. Nevertheless, it's a former Chelsea player, and Arsenal has a track record of signing former players from Stamford Bridge, such as Petr Cech, Willian, and David Luiz. Arsenal seems to be sticking with Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe on that left-hand side, so it's an odd choice to think about Hazard, who would demand a starting spot.

4. Darwin Núñez

Fabrizio Romano and several other outlets reported that Arsenal is looking at Benfica striker Darwin Núñez. He was rumored to be a possible move between Arsenal and West Ham United during the January transfer window, but Benfica publicly said the player was not for sale. As rumors continue to mount about more teams looking at the Uruguayan international, Benfica is reportedly asking for a minimum €80m fee. He could be a striker Arsenal critically need as he's scored 31 goals in 36 matches, but there could be a bidding war for the player as Manchester United and others are inquiring about the striker. In the recent transfer windows, Arsenal struggled to secure a deal with a striker; recent ones include Tammy Abraham in the previous summer window and Dušan Vlahović in the January transfer window. So keep an eye out for him as this could be a deal that could stretch for an extended period during the upcoming summer transfer window.

5. Gleison Bremer

Another Brazilian centre-back seems to be rumored in a possible move to the Emirates. Reported by Football.London, Serie A team Torino is asking £25m for their defender Gleison Bremer. While Arteta seems to favor Gabriel and Ben White as his CB pairing, and William Saliba seems to feature in the plans for next season, Bremer may become an option if players like Rob Holding or Pablo Marí were to depart from the club. Some unfortunate news for Arsenal on this transfer rumor is that Tuttomercato is reporting that Liverpool has submitted a £25m bid for Bremer, and being able to offer Champions League, it may prove difficult for Arsenal to secure Bremer's signature.

This should be interesting especially with all that they’ve been through this season.
